We’re thrilled to share that we’ve has been positively reviewed by The Argus, with food critic Nick Mosley describing us as a restaurant that “delivers the kind of dishes that I’d expect to eat when journeying around what is perhaps my favourite country.”
In his recent review, Mosley praises the “distinctly grown-up environment” at Tutto, set within the grandeur of our former banking hall location on Marlborough Place. He highlights the “soaring ceilings,” “wondrous marble bar with stool seating” and “artworks and furniture designs that gently nod to 1930s modernism” – creating an atmosphere that feels a world away from the bustling Brighton streets.
Mosley was particularly drawn to our bar, writing: “I love nothing more than a convivial natter at a bar after a busy day with a pre-supper negroni cocktail or two, and Tutto has a pretty impressive list of not only well-built negroni twist cocktails but also other drinks that conjure up memories of Italian holiday sundowners.”
Our menu is designed to celebrate the social, relaxed dining style of Italy. Mosley recommends starting with shared antipasti, such as “wood fired chilli shrimp” and “burrata with walnut pesto and blood orange”, before moving onto primi courses like our “beautifully plated venison ragu and Pecorino cheese with strips of handmade pappardelle.”
He also notes the importance of our secondi courses, such as “strips of onglet beef with Chianti sauce and fluffy polenta” or “wood fired cod accompanied by clams, anchovies and creamy cannellini beans”. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are all available, with a dedicated vegan menu on request.
Highlighting the incredible value of our set menu, Mosley writes: “I slipped in on Tutto’s pre-theatre and lunch set menu… remarkable value at £19 for two courses.”
We’re honoured by this glowing review and delighted to be recognised as a destination for refined Italian dining in Brighton. As Mosley puts it, “the pleasure is in the journey” – and we look forward to welcoming you to experience Tutto for yourself.
